An Artist and Tutor for over 20 years, and a published Author since 2020, The Wight Soul, Gail Wareham,  is interested in the beauty of our natural world.

The studio is minutes from the sandy beach at Brook Chine, the perfect natural location for the mind of The Wight Soul to wander and create.

Illustration services are also offered - stock photos of artwork available for immediate use, or a full design service if you have a special project to bring to life.

The hour of half light is here,

The time betwixt day and night.

When shadows can move with a life of their own,

And the Owls will prepare to take flight.

Those that live in the daylight hours,

Will now creep away to sleep.

Making way for the new arrivals,

The night shift will soon start; to keep…

The forest a place of excitement,

For all living things that do dwell.

In the hours of darkness, when we are not there,

Make busy their time and feed well.

The Bats will be stretching their wings out,

The Owls will be calling aloud.

The Badgers will be busy digging,

While the Mice all hang out in a crowd.

The darkest hour in all twenty four,

Where the sun has gone down – the moon still to rise.

Twilight belongs to no man and no beast,

It’s the time we re-focus our eyes.
